Wednesday, October 23rd The Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department held their weekly training, and covered Donning and Doffing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) , and Ladders.

With every training night, Our members, not only learn new things to help us help our community, they master what they know to provide the best response we can in the most professional manner.

When your in The Fire service, you have so many oppportunites to change someones life, to help in any way you can, and sometimes, someone chages yours. June 22nd, 2019, a young man by the name of Joey Abt did just that. Joey brought an entire Department together, and it was an honor to have him at our station.
